Help w/tune up information..MSD? PRJ? Taylor?

Okay..I have a 2002 Chevy Monte Carlo SS [3.8] and its time for my tune up. i have been wanting to do NGK TR55iX Iridium Spark plug and MSD Super Conductor ignition Wires. The problem is that i dont know that msd has a wire set that will work for my car..i know they have the set for the 3.4 but i have the 3.8 and the wires arent interchangable. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what i should do outside of the universal MSD kit? I have also considered PRJ [although really expensive] and Taylor..(i really want a colored wire to give the engine bay some color) so any ideas on a really good ignition wires and or plugs wuould be helpful. i just want to get the best for my monte. Thanks ahead of time to anyone that helps me out with this.

Stay with stock for everything, it is honestly the best for the car.

You can grab L67 coil-packs for a little hotter spark, but that's the only change you should make.

really?? Stock plugs and wires would perform better/longer that another brand such as msd or taylor? i just want something that will give it a bit better performance..if thats actually stock, even though i want some color, i would deff. go stock.

Stock is going to give you the best performance on these cars until you are pushing boost or a lot more HP.

There are PLENTY of actual mods you can do to help performance.

taylor is fine too if you can find them for cheaper than stock, I have heard some issues with MSD, but stock is best bet if you can find it cheap.

Stock seems to be the way to go, one of my MSD coils ended up shorting out(wasted money), ended up going back to stock coils. My Taylor 10mm wires had one or two shorted out (perhaps to much heat) in about 1.5 years, we bought a universal 6 cylinder MSD 8.5 mm Super Conductor wires and custom cut them to fit and they seem to be doing very well. Only time will tell and the money spent hopefully was not wasted again...

Stock Genuine GM parts are what I like the best. If you want to add some color under the hood you could get some hose covering like this 43" FT BRAIDED HOSE, WIRE & CABLE LINE COVER KIT RED | eBay or this UNIVERSAL STAINLESS BRAIDED HOSE COVER KIT RED ENDS CHEVY FORD MOPAR HOT ROD | eBay

@ChibiBlackSheep: What kind of mods can i do that will improve my performance?

@ZIPPY02: I really dont want to do the universal kit because i havent done much with the electrical aspect.. but how complicated was it with constructing the wires? How is the performance overall? And what exactly did you buy to complete the kit?

@ANYONE: does any one know the lengths of each of the wires by cylinder? Just in case i decide to go universal msd i would need to know the correct measurments.

@lougreen03: I appreciate that info..just in case im not able to get the colored wires i would deff. consider the covers.
