I assume you are going to try an LSx powerplant into the 86?

Correct.

As of now if I can get enough, and sell some other stuff I will have enough for local guys ls6. If not, I can always get a cheap 5.3.

Why not just get an L67 and throw it in the, it would be a nice increase of power over the 383

Buy a 01 or newer LS1 save money over the LS6 & do a head cam change for more power

But it's a cts-v ls6, 35000 miles. They want 1k for it, and I can barely find a ls1 with under 200,000 miles for 1k.

And Mitch, needs 3.4

This one had a hood melt on it, so it comes intake-less and needs coils, which I would be replacing anyway.

I'm going to get an intake and run a carb set up for now so I can just drop it in, it will keep it looking a lot cleaner without all of the wires and will be a lot easier to tune. Then I'll need an MSD ignition box and I can run the coils. Should be a good looking set up.
