Flashing CEL and slow shifts

Yeah, but the whole deal is that I didnt think you could get a torch up there by the manifold. The PB blaster, I was told not to do that on the i-manifold bolts because there is a risk of fire because you cant aim it really good.

What I did with mine was:
1. lift the front end of the car as high as I could.
2. Spray The bolts w/ PB Blast.
3. Drink a beer.
4. Start the car to heat everything up.
5. Let it cool.
6. Spray the bolts w/ PB Blast.
7. Drink a beer.
8. Get under there with a breaker bar, 3 extensions strung together, universal joint & socket.
Gave the bolts a twist & out they came!
Oh yeah, did the same drill at the resonator sans extensions & u-joint.
Hope this helps.
Peace out.

If you're trying to get the downpipe bolts out, just use a 15 mm wrench to break it loose, if that doesn't work, just get a breaker bar. Granted I don't know how tight of a fit your motor is, but I have an L67 that has almost no clearance against the firewall and I removed my downpipe bolts with just a 15 mm wrench.

If you can get a wrench/socket on there, ran the car for a few minutes to heat up the exhuast, sprayed the bolts with PB or something like that, used a breaker bar and still no luck= Then you might have to cut those bad boys out. Do you have access to air tools? Some creative (but maybe dangerous) techniques with an impact wrench could work.
