Default Coolant question

I was wondering, would completely flushing the dex-cool coolant out and putting standard green coolant in my 2000 LS hurt the car any? . . .I've heard some bad reviews on this dex-cool crap and have personally had hundreds of dollars worth of failuresto prove the reviews. I've had my water pump go on me and my lower manifold gaskets go out because the coolant literally ate them up. my car only has 108K on it.

Would this be a good idea or a bad idea and has anyone else done this to their 2000+ monte?

Thanks,
Monteriderls

there's a lot of people in the town i'm in that have they're system completely flushed and put the green in it..and they've been doing it for about 5 years now...

wont hurt anything..just make sure the system is completely empty first though
