aaaaaannnnd jack is down again
Ok so I'm getting in the car about to go to work and when I turned the key, nothing. This haplened before but after a few tries it fires up. This time it didn't. I wish I didn't brush it off when it happened last time. But I hear the click. I'm sure I hear the fuel priming but I can't be sure because of the rain. But all the regular lights came on. Jus no crank. I'm sure its the starter but wanted to be sure I tried to give it some taps but its not a lot of room and I can't really see where I'm hitting. What does this sound like to some of you guys. Also I got the starter tester a while ago, idk what job I was doing but I took the starter and had it tested and they said it was fine. But its not in my logs so I don't remem er when that was

K so I took off the battery and put it back on still nothing. Then I attempted to hit the starter and something sparked down there. Then I noticed my hammer was wet so yea that's it for now. Hooked it up to my scan tool and I'm getting 11.5 volts I'm guessing I'm missing the other 5 because of the lights are on. Looked at the message box and service traction and the battery light is on. But honestly I think the battery light was always on at startups

How long ago did you get the battery?
If you alternator isn't charging well, it could prematurely kill a battery too.
Remove both and get them bench tested. Take it to the place you bought the battery and maybe get a replacement for free?

Got the battery late jan. Also got the alternator tested when I changed the belt tensioner and belt. Also good. it just sucks cause this might have to wait till Saturday

I had the same problem with my car not starting, it ended up being the alternator and the starter. I think the starter was my stupid fault because I kept trying to start it. I was at school which was about an hour away and I really didnt want to have to call a tow a truck.

Ok so last night after it stopped raining I decided to give it one last try. I tur ed they key to the start position and held it for 1.5 secs then it started, I cut iff off and tried it again and hekd it and it started. Now after that it started as soon as I put the key in the start position. I'm nkt sure what this can be now
