Chevy 350 trans compatibility

Is the Chevy 350 compatable with a 1971 Monte Carlo gearbox/tranmisstran?

The 1971 Monte Carlo came with either a TH350 and a TH400 transmission. The TH400 is a longer transmission and used a different driveshaft in addition to the crossmember mounts in a different spot. I don't recall if they use the same crossmember.
