99 Lumina LTZ supercharger
Hello i'm new to this forum.
I recently purchased a 1999 Chevrolet Lumina LTZ 3.8L, Actually performs really well, but I would like little extra power. I know some grand prix came with superchargers. wondering if there is a company that sells kits for Lumina LTZ (monte Carlo)?.. Don't really care about huge boost and stuff like that just like little extra performance without doing major mods

No one sells a kit specifically for the Lumina- ZZP's SS M90 kit may work for you, but I'd contact them beforehand. The SS M90 kit is designed for N/A Series II Grand Prix, Monte Carlo, Regal, and Impala, but I don't know that it wouildn't it a Lumina or why. I'm running the SS M90 kit on my 03 Monte Carlo SS with good results so far. More information on the SS M90 kit can be found at www.zzperformance.com
You only other real option is to swap the top half of an L67 car onto the bottom end of your Lumina. You'd need the heads, intake manifold, injectors, throttle body, sensors, and supercharger from a 97-04 Grand Prix GTP, Regal GS, or other supercharged 3800 car to do this. This is a cheaper option, but it's more difficult as well.
Hope this helped- good luck. A 'charged Lumina would definitely be a sleeper.

Adding any kind of boost is going to be a major mod. For most cars, you can't touch a supercharger/turbocharger kit for under $4-5k. We're lucky with the 3800 in that GM used almost the exact same engine for their factory supercharged version- in thate we can do a top swap for under $1k, or use ZZP's kit for $1500 or so- but regardless, you're still taking apart half the engine. Maybe your definition of a 'major mod' is different than mine?
Well i didn't want to do much lower end, crank, rods, cams.. i know this requires alot of top end work.. I'm apprentice mechanic so i have access to hoists and stuff to do the mods, just looking to spend under 2k

SS M90 is easier
Top swap is cheaper
