Ive got an 02 monte carlo, and im wondering if it would be possible to swap to the ss moter? what exactly would I need to upgrade? I believe its a 3.8 from a Pontiac Grand Prix GTP early 2000s? Thanks in advance guys.

 

Look at the sticky at the top of the engine forum thats called: How To L67 swap.

That will be about 99% the same for your car; you just need the engine bay wiring harness from a 3800 00+ monte, and its a little easier for you too because you should be able to buy a passenger axle for an 04/05 SC monte rather than having to custom build one.

 

If you have the ability and the tools to do it yourself it will be a very easy and cheap job.

If you need to pay someone how to do it, you may want to reconsider as the labor charges will probably be crazy.
