Ok everyone, turbo monte is currently at the tuners and strapped to the dynojet to see what the new fuel pump and some meth tweaks can gain me for power. when the car went to them with no adjustments the car made 523.51whp/475.37wtq on 20psi but during this pull he seen 12.1-12.2afr and 3*kr with it starting to break up so he lifter early around 5200rpm.

Because of this he added 10% fuel and pulled 1.5* timing and it made 515.59whp/465.50wtq still on 20psi.

He then added a little more boost and final numbers Friday evening was 538.61whp/483.12wtq on 21psi and this is where he stopped for the evening. he is still tuning it as we speak and we expect more power but time will tell i guess.


Im excited, anxious, nervous, etc lol we leave for Monte Nats Thursday and i don't even have the car yet haha.

Anyway, guesses for final whp numbers anyone? mod list is in my album on here.

ok, here are the final numbers. was 80* outside still. tuner assured me with a 60* day this car will make over 600whp easy!!

i just got an update but car is still breaking up over 9600hertz so he has to figure out why. i am not releasing the new numbers quite yet though

i think i am gonna fall short of the 603whp mark also but we will see

edit: car was breaking up do to spark blowout. gaped the plugs from .035 to .025 and all issues went away.

 

Nothing like cutting it close!!! I hope everything works out soon and you get some awesome numbers back!

Its 98* out with 29% humidity. if i had cooler air i could possibly get close to 600whp. my injectors are at 86% also so i am gonna need more meth, if i get more meth in it i can add more timing and make more power. we debated letting it strapped down and doing a power pull in the morning in cool air but i need the car done by thursday so we decided to call it good here and start street tuning.


car is currently making 24psi and at 15.5* timing at WOT 93 octane+100%methanol

 

It just sounds crazy when you get on it! Scary!

OK, so who's gonna beat this?

 

well, another update..... the tuner went against what i said and left the car on the dyno and made one more power pull this morning. this time is was 80* outside and with no other changes the car made an incredible 594whp and 535wtq!!!! the tuner assured me with temps around 60* this car will easily make over 600whp with no additional tuning. i was scared to make the power pull but im very glad my tuner decided to go against my judgement and make it!

 

haha that's just insane. You've more than tripled what it came from!

 

And who said these cars have no potential at power??

I know a lot has been done to get John's Monte to this point, but it proves it is possible.
