2004 Intimidator SS engine swap

Just wondering if the new 303hp v8 would fit in my Intimidator SS. I know the NorthStar would fit in my parents 91 Lumina, just wondering if the v8's mount up the same way.

anything can fit ;) again tho it will cost you more that it would to buy the whole car.....

You can get that supercharged engine well beyond 303hp for cheaper than the LS4 swap would cost you.

I have read quite abit about that seems relativley easy but I was looking for the sound of a small block bowtie

then buy a small-block bowtie :P

putting that engine in your car is expensive and a lot of custom fabrication

I the new impala on the same platform as the 04 Monte

If you can do t, or have friends to do it, you can. Get a junkyard engine and tranny, and computer from it, make some mounts, and vualla.

x2 on getting the L67 to make just as much power (and get better gas mileage from what I've heard too). If all you care about is the sound- then why not just buy a camaro?

I still don't see where all the custom fabrication would be for this swap. IMO, you shouldn't need much more than the complete powertrain dropout from a factory LS4 wbody car-he has wbody already, so I doubt there is much different. The only part that I could see even being remotely tricky is the wiring- but I imagine it couldn't be that bad.

Well I love my Intimidator SS, been reading alot of bumpin's info on mods, just thought it might be cheaper swapping a ls4 and get the bonus of the sound, wish I could get my hands on a new camaro....but I wanna keep my Intimidator.

If you do really want something with a distinct sound, some intake mods on that L67 will really bring out the sound of the supercharger.

I think most people with the supercharged 3800s convince themselves that they love that sound, eventually more than the sound of a rumbling V8.

Just something to consider.
