I think the idea of screen/mesh is over done. But if you can match the mesh to the Tony Stewart grill pretty close, and paint it black, it might look half decent.

In reference to some of the other posts, I've included pics of the Grand Am front end and Wiz Kidd's sig.

I think I'm almost definately going to do it now. So whenever it does get done, which will probably be within the month, I will definately post pictures for you guys. Along witha TS grille (whenever I finally get it) and a black license plate cover, my front end should look pretty unique.

I agree, the bumper would get weak on the bottom. I like the idea of cutting some of it out, and then of you wanted to de the mesh behind, I think it would look good. Kind of ZR-1ish.

If you have a couple of the vertical sections that are not broken ... leave them in for stability. The nose on the car is going to be taking a good beating being right up-front having the heavy force of air pushing on it at speed. Leaving some support and just painting them to match the grill-work wouldn't be a bad idea.
