Personally I LOVE the 06-07 lights. Yes they are flatter, but they don't have that ugly plastic bubble coming off of them.

They are much more like the 4th generation lights.

But I also love the LEDs we have for our cars...

IMO either or is an upgrade to what we have stock.

we test fitted on his car and it fit fine, but like the little gap everybody mention on the thread was what he didn't like.

I was letting him know that they should fit because I changed my 2001 Monte Carlo taillights to the 06/07 without any problems. Here is the pic of them on my car. You can see how much flatter the newer tailights are by looking just below the tailight. Personally I hate the look of the original lights and prefer the newer lights.

I like the newer tail lights on the 00-05 models, it gives it that little modern fresh look to a 00-05 model with the newer lights,

I got to tell you the leds are great if you ever wanted black tail lights the matrix racing lights are perfect because my leds are so bright when i hit the brake and I dont have to worry about a rear end crash from tinted tail lights, I love the led tail lights and I love the color selection, Its great that there are some cool accessories for our rides, I love that they offer led tail lights for the 00-05 model as well, Personally I like the shape of the monte tail lights, because thats How I can tell right away iif its a monte carlo

Which is why I hate that Impala's lost their tail-lights, and some cobalts don't have the snake eyes.

When that car has such a distinctive look and you can tell from far away because of it, then you know it was designed well and stands out.

Sometimes from afar I mistake a Monte for a Cadillac or Chrysler 300. For some reason the Chrysler's tail lights remind me of an 85's lights...
