Would the rear tail lights on an 00-05 Monte fit an 06-07 Monte?

 

i think they are actually a little wider on the 06, from what i've read on here! i thought the same thing when someone had a pair to sell!!

 

I put a pair of 06/07 taillights on my 2001 Monte Carlo LS and they are an exact fit except at the bottom where the bumper cover meets the light. The newer lights are flat where as the older lights are rounded at the base.

 

Do you have a pic to post of what it looks like?

 

won't that cause moisture to build and fog up the lens???

 

Here is what they look like on a 00/05 Monte Carlo SS (not my car). I thought I had a pic of them on my car but I guess I didn't. I will take a PIC of them on my car tomorrow and post a pic in this thread. If you look at the base of the taillights you can see where the bumper cover has a raised edge. That is where the roundness play in. You see, with the newer lights on the car while looking at the base you can see that raised area just slightly when looking down the light toward the bumper.

 

they look like they don't fit completely right at the inner sides, too. closest to the trunk. they just look....off.

 

bottom line is they do fit without doing any modification to it.

I dont like how they look in my opinion. The 00-05 have less of a cheap look for some reason. I just cant explain it lol.
