Paint touch up tips
Larry Kosilla just put up a new video about touching up paint on a car. The car he is working on was keyed as you will see. Lots of good information in this video.

Pretty good Video - useful things to know
|
From the past videos I have watched from ammo...
I expected that scratch to pretty much disappear.... The reality is... It was still quite visible. Which means I was more disappointed than impressed.:( Granted anything looks better than the bare scratch... But Barely. |
That scratch was brutal. Looks a lot better though.

Thanks for the vid Imuf
Below is my contribution of a short vid on touch `up. It's the way I do it >more just to cover the bare metal. On Bad chips, etc > I take it to the `Professionals. Below is good 4 a daily driver. |

For most of us car nuts yes if we got a scratch that big we would have done a repaint but the tips where good for things like stone chips
Space I need to watch the Video you posted In my phone will check it out in the morning |
the sad reality is paint touch up is never perfect no matter how bad you want it to be. if it bothers you that much then repaint is the only way to have the look you really desire.

Do you do touch up paint work in your detail business ? I think it's stressful to have a nice ride in todays world. I thought the below `vid was decent  What do you guys think ? This is a good thread & I hope that many contribute their tips/tricks & links/vid's... |
Yes we do alot of touch up work. Unfortunately it doesn't always pay enough to be blessed to take the time to sand it out andtry to do everything pperfect. Most dealerships just want everything the same color haha. On my own Car I will so the best I can but still I am so picky it doesn't help haha
