Headliner cleaning

I have a question for the monte family. My headliner is dirty as all heck and it needs to be cleaned. I am curious about using a rug cleaner with a brush attachments on the liner. think it would ruin it or what. has anyone else tried to clean the liner before. If so what did you use .

Vacuum everything first gently, then use the upholstery cleaner if you need to, but don't spray directly on it. Put it on a rag and dab it on in areas.

Try to do more dabbing than rubbing.

x2 ^ you don't want to breakdown the foam or the glue of the headliner .No one wants to be sagging there head liner.

ya use a carpet upholstery cleaner. spray it kinda heavily on a cloth. like a microfiber cloth. And rub it gently on the headliner.. should clean up nicely.. Ive gotten some pretty nasty headliners cleaned with that method

A brush could also rough up the smooth surface of the headliner. Id use a rag and work it carefully.
