Hey all, just did a headlight resto and it turned out pretty good.

much better man !! probably got 40% more light output now !!

whatd you do? i've found just compound seems to work pretty good

I had to wetsand the headlight and buff, polish and wax.

i got a job just like that coming in my shop next wednesday...good job tho

That came out really good. My headlights were a little yellowed at the top, so I bought the Meguiars headlight restoration kit, which got rid of the yellowing, but I've still got some scratches at the top of one of the headlights. I'm afraid I'll mess up the headlight if I try to sand it out. What's the best way to do this? What grain sandpaper should I use?

As you see in the pictures I masked off the hood and surrounding paint. Then wet sand with 800 then follow that with 1200grit. You should see a pasty white that's what your looking for. Follow that with your megairs.
