Fender stripes?

I have an 05 silver Monte Carlo, and I've been thinking about putting black decal stripes on the fenders. Does anyone know where I could buy these and any other thoughts about the idea? Is it difficult to do? Does it withstand weather well?

I was thinking something like this (except black on silver):

Thanks all!

I'd say go for it. I have black fender stripes and love them. I thought that either reflective concepts or house of graphix would have some but I am not seeing them. I just used black Plasti Dip because I wanted to get an idea of how they looked and I like them. I will keep looking for them for you as I know I have seen some before. They should stand up to weather great and installation shouldn't be too difficult.

Okay so you will have to order 2 from these guys and they are for a Grand Prix but they should fit? Not 100% sure tho. Grand Prix GT GTP SE GTX Fender Stripe Decals Decal | eBay

You could also try to contact House Of Graphix and they most likely could custom make something for you. I know thats what they do for these. I have ordered from them before and was 100% satisfied with them.

I'm not sure on the dimensions off the top of my head but quite a few people here just recently did them. Just get 2 pieces of vinyl cut at a shop and you'll be all set.

With that said I'm not a huge fan of them on GM cars - especially now they're quite popular with Mopars. Take the Cleveland Metroparks ranger's new cars for example:

That is gross. lol. I think that they should have left them off and did that raised part on the doors black instead. That would look better imo.

Here's the member who I remember doing it (he's not the only one, but the one I remember). His name is Mr Grizzly Mint. < You can click his name and it'll link you to his profile. Just send him a PM for the sizes he got for the vinyl strips, I can't find where he mentioned the sizes off hand.

Not to offend anyone but I am not a fan either. To each their own. They look good on the Challengers and such. I just don't think a Monte is made for it. They really aren't a muscle or sports car. You should be able to email any Ebay seller and get them made to you dimensions.

I think I'm going to try it. If for some reason I dont like it, I could always just take them off right?

Mike, I see you added fog lights to your LS. I wanted to do that also. How did you do it? Did you splice them in to the low beams or did you run a seperate switch? Was it difficult? How much did it cost?
