How to make your car's engine look showroom fresh

Last time we saw Larry Kosilla of Ammo NYC and the YouTube show Drive Clean, he was initiating the resurrection of a 1966 Porsche 912. Going beyond the body, the automotive world's Mr. Clean next lays his gloved hands and brushes on the engine bay, demonstrating how to scour the powerplants of a front-engined Corvette Z06, a mid-engined Ferrari 458 Italia and a mid-engined Ford GT. The three cars were chosen to show the challenges of a modern, plastic-covered motor, an exotic motor with lots of hard-to-reach spots and a "muscle" car that leaves everything exposed.

Kosilla breaks it all down quickly, taking about seven minutes to go through eight steps that will get your engine from dirty to disinfected. For another engaging lesson, have a watch of the video below.

I use simple green on the Deuce's engine and just a garden hose never water under pressure. I also use an old car rag to wipe down wires and hoses. rinse really good when done

Dress up hoses, black vinyl parts and wires with Mother's Back to Black.

The Deuce's engine never really gets too dirty as I am always on top of keeping her clean

Lady Deuce enjoys her spa time!

I have never really used any products when cleaning the engine bay on my monte, just basically elbow grease and a rag. I always keep it fairly clean under the hood so it never really needs too much work. On previous cars, my 81 buick regal for example, I used to use chrome polish and armor all under the hood weekly as I had the chrome valve covers, and every possible part I could replace with chrome
although I do recommend keeping an old toothbrush, it helps get the dirt out of the tiny spaces you can't quite get too with a rag and your hand. Also a popsicle stick with a bounce sheet to wrap around will help clean the dust out of the air vents in the cabin of the car, or wrap an armor all sheet around the popsicle stick and it works well and leaves a shine

Thanks Space, I have been slacking on the engine bay for sure. I use some All,purpose cleaner and In and Out Spray from Adam's. I have a soft wheel brush to hit where I can't get my hand to. Always remember to cover an open air filter, and as Tadd stated low pressure with water.
