You ever think about doing the Aluminum UIM swap and painting it red?

What? never knew they made an aluminum UIM....Used the upgraded composite one. Now you tell me...LOL, just my luck. Perhaps I now have another mission, Thanks Chibi...GRRRR

The Series 3 UIM is aluminum. You just have to do some slight modifications to adapt it to your car.

Most people with a turbo do this because it is much much stronger than plastic.

I believe there is a TB kit but I'm sure you could figure it out

That's an amazing engine bay, I like it!

Very nice zippy ...I bet that took some time...yeah I did the same thing and then read about aluminum uim but I've also read that the plastic doesn't restrict air as bad as aluminum one does but your Turbo so I don't think it would matter but if I were in your shoes I would do the aluminium one for sure...man its looking really nice

Looks really great! Just like Chibi, my eye was drawn to the plastic intake cause it just don't look like it belongs. Maybe you could just paint the plastic one? But that looks awesome regardless!

Doesn't each intake have the insert so the aluminum isn't really touching the air anyways?
