Best cleaning formula for chrome rims?

I must admit that my brother is a total noob when it comes to chrome care. He recently purchased chrome rims and want to maintain these rims so that they always look as good as new. Chrome rims can be easily scratched, pitted and discolored if we choose the wrong cleaning product or cleaning tools. Well, I found some good chrome cleaners at Walmart.
Hope someone could recommend a great chrome cleaner to protect from rusting, scratched and discolored.

Honestly, when I had chrome wheels I just used regular car wash soup and water with a sponge.

I think it's Italian Wheeling soup. :p Honestly as he stated regular washing and then wax with a good quality wax should do a good job for him.

HECK NO! Only chicken noodle. The noodles are what give the wheels their true shine!

hahaha you guys crack me up. LOL

But yea, I just wash mine. Then whenever I wax my car, I wax the wheels too.

Couldnt you just get some chrome polish and go over it with a microfiber cloth?? Cleans pretty good on my moms chrome, and thats just mothers polish.

^^^this is one of the reasons i love this forum haha^^^

anyway, I clean them with meguiars chrome wheel cleaner, then use their chrome polish, and then uses a wax, i like nxt generation tech wax 2.0

I keep them shiney with meguiars quick wheel detailer--i have only found in on autogeek.new never found it in a store yet, idk why

Yeah, there are definitely some good products out made specifically for chrome wheels, but I figured I'd just say what I use to do and that was use SOAP and H20. lol
