$1 Wheel cleaner, amazing results!!

So about 5yrs ago or so I was at my local Dollar Tree (everything $1 or less) store looking for stuff to buy and I ran across some wheel cleaner spray and decided to give it a try. The stuff is called Street Appeal Wheel and Tire

It claims to dissolve brake dust and road grime from your wheels and tires by simply spraying it on, letting it "work" for 15-20 seconds, then rinsing off with a hose. So here we are, 5yrs later and I just tried it for the first time. My test wheels were the oem wheels that came with my car, I've since put some 20's on it and these have been sitting in my backyard for the past year in the condition they were when they came off. Here's my results

Before

As you can see, plenty of road grime, brake dust, etc. built up on the rim. I had very low expectations for this product, pretty much chalked it up as a complete waste of my time but I had to do it just out of curiosity. So I sprayed it on as directed and let it sit for 20 seconds and then promptly rinsed it off with a solid jet stream of water from my hose nozzle..........

After

I was floored! Did not expect anywhere near significant results so when this is what I was faced with after setting the hose down, surprised was an understatement. As you can see, the results aren't perfect, still some grime on there but the majority of it was gone and a quick wipedown with a terry cloth took care of what little was left over. Needless to say, I will be using this product much more and will be building up my stock as much as possible.

Wow, this was without wiping down also? That's crazy, I washed my wheels today, least favorite part of washing my car haha

Correct...the "after" picture was taken as soon as I finished spraying down the wheel and before the final wipedown. I'm still amazed at how good this product worked.

I use a lot of different cleaners from the dollar store. Some of it works some of them don't but its only a buck so who cares. If i dont get results i like i let my teens use it on their cars.:) I like the LA totally awesome orange cleaner/degreaser. It works good but for some reason it exploded in my garage 2 times. I think from the heat.
