Default Anna Nicole's 1st Mod

This past weekend, I made my 1st Modification. This winter I purchased the K&N CAI and the Diablo Intune. (I bought a predator, but I found I could not use all functions in a 07, the computer is different in a ’06...live and learn) I set them both up this weekend and wow! She feels like a different car. The sound is amazing.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" />
When I drove to work I also noticed my highway fuel mileage is better (I think it is worse in town)
This leads me to a couple of questions.
1) With the tune how’s your mileage been?
2) Is it a good idea to use the no DOD tune, how does it affect gas mileage

The no DOD tune MIGHT change your gas mileage by about 1mpg, BUT it should really help with preventing oil blow-by and losing oil in between changes.

Glad to hear your first mods really helped. I did hear that a lot of people get rid of that DOD so it will stop burning oil.

I have the DOD in my 06 - Suggestion contact DiabloLew on F/B or web

He does a Custom tune (I have one) really squeezes out the extra HSP

Contemplating getting the Diablo Sprint module to at least get rid of the DoD. What is the feedback on this? Everything you read on the Internet about chips that just plug into the OBD module is negative--does this one work?

For the cost of that unit, I would say it's not worth it.

Check out what Will offers: :: Overkill Motorsports ::

He even offers tuning through one of the Diablo items, but I don't think it's the sprint version.

The small problem, of course, is that the only option that's in the same price range as the Sprint involves me shipping my modules to Canada, which therefore makes it no longer in the same price range as the Sprint.

it also means I won't be able to drive the car for probably two weeks, which wouldn't be an issue except it's my DD.

I'm also not impressed by him talking about how his spark plugs are "better than copper." If he actually knows anything about these cars, hell, if he knows as much about them as my girlfriend, he knows there has never been a copper electrode inside them.

I was talking about getting a more expensive option, to get more done.

Doesn't make sense to spend over $200 just to remove DoD.

And Will isn't saying that he thinks copper is in the stock plugs. Going to a colder plug with a copper core is a common upgrade for people who modify their cars. He's just suggesting that plug combo instead.

He really does know his stuff. He's helped me tune a few cars, he's collaborating and creating a supercharger system for the LFX Camaro (tempting me to modify my daily driver), and just does a lot for our community.
