Had a blast again! Got to race the monte on the track and kicked some butt!!

Alot of people were on the track, turned out to be a successful event. My boyfriend (GibDTD) and I even switched cars on Sunday and he got my cars time down to a 1:29:30, I took his car and topped it out at 1:35:60. Helped us learn our cars limits too. His n/a monte topped out at 1:33:42 the first day, my time in his car wasn't far off.. I'm just too nervous in my own car to push it like he did The most hilarious thing is that his POS runs beautifully now after getting the snot kicked out of it at the track. It shifts beautifully, no more crazy long shifting.. who said going on the track was bad?

My monte still drives like a champ too! No issues *knock on wood* and my next upgrade is underway. Just got new KYB AGX shocks, lowering springs and the works will be on their way friday! His car handles the track, just lacks the power. the extra 4 seconds off on the track is all thanks to the supercharger and better shifting transmission. What a difference!

Your one of the few who ever get your Monte out like this, thats so cool what your doing. Watched most of the second video, looked like a blast out there.

Nice that your suspension is being upgraded, your rocking the Jr. Monte with some good stuff!

You need to participate in the bi-monthly photo contest we just started. Getting ready to go into the 3rd round. The winner picks a photo theme and then people submit photos along those lines. Only 10 submissions per contest, first come first serve. So far only about 3 to 5 people participating. Your a photo bug, bet this would be something you could ace out.

Keep at it with your Monte, it is really coming around, hell new KYB AGX's are going to be nice, and lowering springs will make your car really handle real nice on teh kind of track your doing. Best of luck!!

 

I like these updates, I am confused though. Only 4 seconds less with the L67? Seems like it should be more..

 

His monte has a fully upgraded suspension, I still have alot of body roll on oe shocks and coils @ 78k miles...i got the speed but not the same turning capabilities..

 

Ahh that was my next question, I bet that helps out a good amount. Can't wait to see some times with your new suspension then

 

You will see a huge difference! Especially if Dave's behind the wheel..
I'll be racing at Pocono in the beginning of september, going to compare to my pocono runs in the beginning of the season..
