Default Tips on emblem removal?

I was thinking about changing the emblems on the monte. Going to remove them, and re-paint them black. thinking of placing the 'monte carlo ss' in the center under the 3rd brake light.

Any tips on removal so I don't break them? I tried taking the emblem off my first car for keeps...thing fell apart in my hands ):

Also I found a nice sticker that says "3800 Series II" that I plan on sticking on the back side of the spoiler if it fits:
NYMCC Shop - 3800 Decal (Powered by CubeCart)

I got my brake overlay coming in monday.
Everything centered it will look like:
3800 Series II
Supercharged (overlay)
Monte Carlo ss
(chevy logo)
OR
3800 Series II sticker on the left side of the spoiler, Right side have dale JR signature, & move the Monte Carlo SS emblem to the center replacing the chevy logo

also, is there anything to cover over the keyhole? Like...some sort of vinyl sticker to change it to red?

Fishing line/dental floss works great. Just start at an edge and use a sawing motion to cut through the adhesive that holds it to the car. It will come right off in one piece.

Personally, I don't like the idea of centering all the badging on the trunk.

I might not keep the chevy logo, picturing it with the logo too may make it too...bleh
Its not my only idea, the 3800 decal may not be large enough so I might put it on the left side of the spoiler, right side have a dale jr. emblem

I took all my emblems off my 04 SS with fishing line. It worked well. It left a little adhesive on the car once finished, I removed that with adhesive remover. I didn't put my original ones back on but I did pick up new SS emblems, new gold bowtie for the trunk and chrome Monte Carlo emblem from a 06. It made a big difference to the look of my car as it's Blue and had Black Monte Carlo emblems. Now it shows up and is very noticable.

IMO:
I liked the "stacked"3800 series II stickers... If you should deceide to go that route.

I only have 1 original emblem left on mine...

Its the red bowtie centered on the trunk...
Thats because all the trim and lettering is all blacked out.

And of course I had my Z-34 logos hand painted on the rear quarters.

Its been a bit since I've posted this, changed up the design.

3800 decal fits nicely on the spoiler.
Will be looking for the original DaleJr decal for the trunk..positioned in the bottom right corner.
Also thinking of moving the chevy emblem to the left..will be photoshopping a image of how it looks
