Oh I've heard horror stories of aftermarket remote starts and such. Usually it was an install where corners were cut.
I know in earlier messing around, I ruled out the actual remote start module and the passlock bypass module by unplugging them.
My dad has a couple of ideas to try and get a better grip on what is going on (I wish I had his electronics skills, they can pay off at times like this). We're going to mess with it again tomorrow evening.

I don't get to get online very consistently, so I hadn't seen the progress on this. Sounds like quite the issue. Part of me still thinks it's a wiring deal, as I've seen some very funny stuff happen when wiring starts getting old.

So far no change, the issue is intermittent at the moment. Dad has some ideas to try and isolate where the issue is, but we haven't gotten back to it yet.

I did not want everyone to believe I left this thread for dead lol.
I have yet to find a root cause. What I can tell you, I have not had the problem in a couple of weeks and I have NO idea what changed.
I want to say "case closed", but I think it's temporarily closed (hard to re-open unless it messes up again).
