The best way to get rid from the junk placed in the backyard or in the garage is to sell that junk to the junk buyers who then recycle it further and use it for other purposes. I recently got cash for junk cars as i had the car placed in the backyard of no use. It's just a scrap for me and i decided to sell it and get instant cash against it..
