I know it is more than $10 for the materials because they are a higher grade even in quantities but there were ALOT of different parts they were showing on the program as well: gas tank, fuel lines, larger fuel injectors, fuel pump, hose where you fill the gas tank.

What I am really betting is that the shows hosts really don't have a clue what it would cost and just took the number from GM. GM might have also added things like costs of reprogramming other PCMS, retooling, etc.

 

2 more things. One gas station in Lomira dropped down to 2.33 per gallon for regular. Fond du Lac is ALWAYS 15 cents higher. The paper reports it but nothing ever gets done. Alot of people here think there is a localized conspiracy especially when the stations are all owned by about 6 people.

The other thing is that Lotus unveiled an E85 turbo roadster that takes advantage of the 109 octane from E85. Awesome gas milage and fast as hell!!!

 

My bad. Not a production car and not a turbo as stated in an article I read off a different topic on this forum. It is an Eaton M62 supercharger with an air to air intercooler. I also can't find the gas mileage link.. it was like 35 mpg. I'm pretty sure this was a custom tune as well.
