Hey guys! Names Jason, 26 years old, business owner, Stopping in from North East Ohio, I've got a 1979 Monte Carlo that my grandfather bought brand new in 79' garage kept until about 95' when it was given to my father (we didn't have a garage then) so the car was driven year around for about 3 years and then parked. Car is custom, has special GM factory tag on floor shifter that says "Made specially for the Warrens" on it. Pretty neat. The car is in fair shap. Has a v6, leather buckets, tan ext, tan interior. Thinking about jelling it out and tearing it apart and redoing the entire car. This is my first "old school" project. Sold my recent car which was a 2008 turbocharged SS cobalt. Full bolt ons and tune, ran 364whp, 382wtq. I miss it, but I needed to move on with better things. Such as this beautiful hard to find parts for Monte I have haha. Thanks for the reading (if you're reading my babbling) looking forward to meeting new people and getting some information from the gurus who've already done a 79' monte build.

All of the molding and trim is in great shape with very minimal work needed, the only molding thats junk is the bumper pieces which are easy to find. The grille and headlight bezels are faded and oxidized, so those being plastic will need replaced. But other than that there is stupid little things needed to complete it.

Welcome Jason!!!
FIrst, I have to ask, what part of N.E. Ohio? I'm in Mentor on the Lake (about 20 miles east of DownTown Cleveland).
Sounds like you have a great '79 in your hands. You will have to share some pics soon!! And it's awesome it's been in the family like it's been!! Not too often a car like that stays through a generation or two.
Welcome to the forum!!
EDIT: Just saw the pics. For her age, she looks outstanding from the pics (I know pics don't show everything). But certainly in very great shape to fix up!!
