Default New, thanks for the add

Just joined the forum. Got my '85 SS out of storage (been covered up in a barn for 20 years). Stored it with non-ethanol gas. It does crank, run and drive! Definitely needs some work and I'm about to start this fall. Looking forward to seeing posts and getting ideas from everyone.

Best regards,
Derek M.

Hasn't been cleaned up much yet. Original paint, a little rust on the rims. 20 year-old tires, too!

Welcome and wow, looks good! I wouldnt worry about a little rust on the wheels or original paint from '85, that looks nice.

Thanks.. My goal is to just get it on the road and enjoy driving it again but do incremental restorations a bit at a time. This was my first car. Dad bought it for me when I was a junior in high school. I drove it from 1993 until 2002 and unfortunately had to park it due to a move to a small condo in the mountains and nowhere to garage it. Life happened and it got put on the back burner. It's been in hibernation since then but I finally got it out last weekend and had it carried to my home residence in eastern NC. Today was a nice (but hot) day so I did first-time introductions to my two C10 trucks.

Welcome to the MCForum,
I got an 85 MC back in 85 when it was new. Drove it for my sales rep car, I put a new engine in it at 197K and then I sold it to the guy who did my roof for his daughters school car.
The one you have is really nice.
