Hello!
My username almost everywhere is badfknbow_tie (at) whatever. I currently own two Monte Carlos . The first is a 1981 LS 4X4, and the second is a 1986 Monte Carlo SS show car. Both are under restoration right now as it is winter in NY, and they will not be driven in the snow anyway.
The 1986 Monte Carlo SS is getting a complete frame-off restoration. The 4X4 1981 is mid conversion with the body sitting on the 4X4 frame, but shy a few body mounts.
I am USAF/USMC retired, and in college for a double major in Journalism and Production, with a minor in arts. The name of this post is the site address for my website covering the frame off restoration. Feel free to have a look, and see where they are at now, and offer useful suggestions.

Thanks for the welcome.
I have many photos and ideas related to my restoration. I have a Harwood hood, stainless X pipe flow-master exhaust, stainless headers, Outlaw rims, BFG TA tires, drilled rotors, custom suspension, billet accessories, high rise endurashine intake and carb, HID and LED lights , and many more upgrades already.
The car has a rebuilt transmission, rebuilt engine, rebuilt frame, and rear axle. The gas tank is new, and so are all of the fuel and brake lines/cables. New headliner and visors for the interior, and looking into a custom center counsel cover. The engine is a 350 4 bolt main block 30 over with the 202 heads from the original 305 HO. I have upgraded the timing to the gear drive, and expanded the oil pan capacity with a front sump pan.
I am considering twin turbos in the future, and the engine is built for this to be added at a later date. As far as paint goes, I am looking into EL-Paint. Electroluminecent paint, glows when powered by electrical charge. I would be using this for the stripe kit.
