Front pass. window went down but not up
#11
Replaced both switches
Sure is strange! I sent for a new master switch and another new passenger side switch, drove to my mechanic's place and he installed both. The right window worked with both switches. The left window worked too, but only for a short time.
Now the right window works still, with either switch. My dog is happy.
My driver window will not open though.
Getting expensive to keep buying new switches!

The motor is bi-directional. It moves one direction to raise the window and the opposite direction to lower it. I suspect a bad connection (corroded/oxidized) where the motor plugs in. When the new motor was plugged in enough of this was removed to complete the circuit, but not enough to allow power to continue to flow after the first use. I would unplug the motor and clean or replace the connector. Found this to be the problem in many makes/models over the years.

That could well be, but I had no trouble with the driver side before. It had worked every time. It did seem to hesitate after I replaced the master switch, but it worked. My mechanic can check its connector soon. The online place that sold me the new switch failed to reply to my email.
Guess I can avoid drive-throughs for a while.
Thanks.
