Default Check engine light problem

I have a 2001 Monte Carlo and the check engine light is on. It was read by Autozone and they said its a PO440. I replaced the Purge Valve and its still on. This all happened after i went to emissions testing and it said 3 need readiness a day after. Do i have to change the Vent Valve also

P0440 is a tricky one. The vent valve is the most common culprit. It's in the driver's rear wheel well. If you remove it you should be able to freely blow through the hose with little resistance. If not, it's clogged and needs to be replaced. Could also be a bad fuel tank pressure sensor. And if you're having trouble filling the tank (pump nozzle keeps shutting off) it's the charcoal EVAP canister.
Please keep us posted.

I believe it only takes 50 miles to become ready after clearing codes, but I could be wrong.

X2 cycles. I bought a car scanner that has the ability to check to see where the systems are. Might be a good idea to buy something like that if you plan on working on your vehicle a lot.
