Talking 350 swap from 1995 suburban Questions

Recently my mom had her 95' suburban motor&trans rebuilt by a trustworthy mechanic. That tank had ***** of big steel after the rebuild. Sadly days after the first oil change someone fell asleep at the wheel and wrecked into that big beautiful boat while parked leaving the driver side frame rail 6 inches in, crushed fender, bumper, cowl, bent core support and inner fender. Insurance called it a loss but we got the truck back, she even got paid a very nice amount of money. After the smoke cleared, i had the best idea ever, "imma yank that motor, and throw it in my 87' Luxury Sport". Mom was so happy with her new truck(1998 Suburban LT /w vortec 350(awesome))she let me have the wrecked truck to sell for parts. So the big questin is will i run into any problems swaping the motor? Will the suburban serpantine belt setup & accessories work with the LS electrical or will i have to keep the original belts & accessories? Will the suburban radiator fit nice in the LS? I'm not swapping trans because about a year ago i put a fresh rebuilt 700r2 (Over Drive = AWESOMENESS) but the truck trans wouldn't work anyway because it was a 4L60e, E meaning Electronic but oh well. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks Alot!!!

Welcome to the site. Is your ls a V8 if so I would say use you regular accessories, just swap them over. also the radiator may be too large to fit the core support.

Welcome to the site....where is pics of your Monte?

As for your engine swap. I am guessing your Monte has a computer control carb and the suburban is tbi engine with either obd I or obd II. I would check with a shop and see if they can burn you a chip for the Monte's computer or if you will have to swap pcm's out and then have a chip burned for that pcm (since you will not have the stock tranny and since the tranny is eletronic controlled) but you might want to consider swapping them anyways since the more recent computer will respond faster. Anyways I hope this helps.

you have a few things to consider, you cant make it all work, but will require pulling the whole truck harnes for the computer , which in my eyes not worth it,

pull the motor and trans

sell the 4L and buy transmission of your choice, get a carb intake that is made to fit the vortec engine, put your choice of carb on and change the dist over to a vac advance style

Thanks everyone for your input. Sorry i didnt put details of the LS. Its a stock 305 /W carb and all accessories (ac, smog pump ect.) nothing is deleted. i want to put the carb setup on the new motor, i gotta keep it old school. The intake is an Edelbrock four-barrel performer RPM with aluminum heads for a 350 that are still in great shape. I imagine if i keep the carb setup i wont have to mess with the computer flashing stuff and wire harness stuff? And when i learn how to put pictures up ill do it. Thanks again.

so what i am gathering you just want to swap out the block so you no longer will be running the 305 and will be runing the 350? if so yes but if you leave the vortec heads on the 350 you will need to get an intake that will work with the vortec heads as they are a different bolt patern than old school sbc

Welcome to the forum. It's great to see people with ambitious plans. There's a lot of work involved. But if you can fit the 350 in there, when it's done, that'll be one bad *** 87 LS.

I'm wondering if the Monte will be able to handle the torque from the 350. The Suburban is built on a truck chassis, isn't it?

Welcome to the site. Justin gave you some good info. The 350 will work there fine. I have seen 454 big blocks put in these cars too.
