Picks/Indy/SunAfternoon July 27
I will not be able to calculate points for this race until Tuesday at the earliest, with current plans. It would be much appreciated if someone could at least calculate the points to see who won this race so we don't have to sit back in anticipation....
Poitns and Congratulatory Remarks
First off, congratulate SupplySgt for winning New Hampshire, and thus beginning this segment with the Segment 3 poitns lead! Congratulate Lepreachuan93 for leading the overall points!
For a copmlete rundown, check the stats thread:

This week in Indy
Newman fans beware - remember, picking him last year was better than picking Jimmie!
Jimmie is the man at Indianapolis. He'll probably lead lots of laps and run up front, maybe even win a pole as well! He's also crashed and blown engines tyring to win! More times than not though, it's a really good finish. He and Chad usually set aside a really good car for this race.
Jeff is good here too... won a few times... Goonyer took the points lead here in 2012! Then Kahne is good but has had bad luck.
The Stewart Haas gang shoudl be good... Stewart needs to win, Harvick is really fast...
But maybe the teams to watch are the Pensek cars! They're bringing Juan Peblo Montoya with them and they're cars are just working so well right now.
Remember, Ford is going for a fifth straight win. But to get it, they have to win at a track CHEVROLET HAS WON AT LIKE 13 TIMES IN A ROW!!!!
Those goes for them Gibbs Toyotas too...
But I'm the Furd man... and I'm remembering that last time Penske brought a third car, even with Peblo driving, those three cars still finished ahead of all three Roush cars and and all other Ford's... so with that being said...
1) Brad Keselowski
2) Juan Pablo Montoya (WUT!??)
3) Joey Logano
Also...
I will be at the Nationwide Race in Chicago!!!
Taht's right, Cup is off, Nationwide goes to Chiacgo, and so will I! I'm going with the girlfriend to visit family.... and we'll be there the Saturday before a wedding and we're going ot the race! Plan to check out some of Route 66 leading up to the track as well.
So if anyoen is interested in running the Nationwide race on the off weekend, I'll start us of...
1) 22 (Ryan Blaney currently on the entry list for it)
2) 60 - Chris Buescher
3) 6 - Trevor Bayne

Well, it's early to pick. Qualifying means something here and will totally sway my choice, but I might as well lock some picked in on a first dibs thing.
1. Dale Jr
2. Brad K
3. Joey Logano
a lot like Duane's picks, only not as ridiculous. I'll probably change after qualifying, but Jr never qualifies well
I can't let you have a race that don't matter Duane. So for the Nationwide Chicago race I pick JRMotorsports:
1. Chase Elliot
2. Regan Smith
3. Kasey Kahne

Just "eyeballin'" it, I'd say the Nationwide win goes to 02 Earnhardt Monte Carlo SS.
Regan Smith ran like crap and blew the picks for me and David, but I'm happy to see Chase win the race!

Since it isn't for real, and I can't copy and paste correctly offm y Mac, these are the points without the total for each driver. 02 Earnhardt stood head and shoulders above the rest!
