Would anyone be interested in running a Nationwide league as well? I'm not going to do the math and run segments/points for each and every race for two series but if anyone is up for it, we could start posting separate threads and rundown for Nationwide and Cup.
Trucks run the Eldora dirt race tonight. I'm not making picks for it, don't even think I'll be able to watch it or do points if we did pick for it.
Remember, need a volunteer for the points for Indy!!
In the past I've made that the responsibility of the past champion or the current points leader... hahaha.

I checked the chassis report and most teams are bringing brand new chassis' to the race this weekend. Usually you cna read up and see that "Oh, they're bringing the car that won Kansas" or "Oh, it's the car that ran 3rd in Charlotte" or something like that... but no, most cars are new.
Strangely enough ,the 48 is even bringing a new car. Usually, the 48 finds that one car that seems to be really dominant early in the year that will win a race or so, then Knaus sets it in a corner and preps it for Indy, then wins Indy with it and sets it aside for the Chase. Not the case, even the 48 is bringing a new car.
Percentage wise, about 80% of cars reported coming to Indy are new.
The tire compound is "similar" but not hte same one that was run at Dover and Kentucky.

Last year's Indy race was probably the most boring race of the year. It often is. I was there last year, and for me it actually wasn't so bad as Jr had a loose wheel early and spent the race trying to catch up. But at least he was passing cars and he finished well. He was pretty much the only one passing and they finished pretty much as they started. It's a tough race to watch live anyways - you can't see enough. I paid way more attention to the scanner/RaceVision.
My brother and my crew (the same guys who used I used to go to Bristol with annually) are there again this week. I was invited and probably would be there too if I didn't have a new baby at home. I liked Indy enough cuz it's Indy, but I'll probably never go back either way.
