SO i cracked my driver side mirror on my 06 LT the other morning rushing trying to get ice off of so i could go to class... does anybody know if i can replace just the mirror or is the whole unit goin to have to be replaced?

 

Let me see if I can find my old one in the ditch where the road sign took off my mirror from BLACK ICE! It might be in pieces. I DO know from experience that the mirror does pop off the motorixed head, cuz I popped mine back on last year after another incident with a falling tree limb in a storm. Check with a glass shop for a replacement glass piece, but I'll look Monday afternoon for my broken mirror to see if the glass is still in it. It's heated, and also an '04. Might not be the same.

 

Could you post a pic from your cell phone or something?

I'd go out on a limb and say the whole thing needs to be replaced, but I'd need to see the damage, it might just snap back in.

 

The "mirror" itself can snap back onto the motorized head inside. I had mine come off when the tree limb fell on me last spring, and I just snapped it back on.
