Default Questions about Gauge Cluster Fix

**EDIT** I found a guy that lives about an hour from me that does a lot cluster repairs through eBay. He has people ship them the cluster, he fixes, and sends back. I talked to him on the phone and if I drive down there, he will pull the cluster, put new motors and lights on it, and put the cluster back in (dash and everything) for $100...sounds like a pretty good deal to me! His feedback ratings on eBay are good.

I have a 2000 monte carlo ss that the temperature gauge all of a sudden began reading cold, even though I know it's warm. Took it to the shop to have them look at it, thinking it just need a new thermostat. They said it wasn't and that it was the cluster. They don't work on the clusters but referred me to someone who does.

I have looked around the forum to discover that this is quite a common issue and that a lot of you guys have fixed it yourself and that BBEngineer will do it for something like $150.

I looked on eBay and found some of the stepper motors to be around $7 a piece, plus shipping. However these motors say that they are for 2001-2006 cars...http://tinyurl.com/49wyjw3

My questions are:
-Is this the right stepper motors to use for the 2000 monte carlo?
-Is this the correct price, or where else should I get them from?
-How long of a job should this be, from start to finish (removing the dash to replacing it)?

Is there anywhere else that you guys know of that do it any cheaper? (No offense BBEngineer, I am just kind of tight on money at this moment).

Thanks!
