Hello here is a link on the forum about this. It's not just pushing the pedal 3 times, you need to have a second between pushes and the last one hold it down for 3 to 4 seconds. Then turn the key off and then start your car. This is the method I use and it works for me. Let us know how things went...

I've run into a couple of stubborn oil change lights on GM vehicles before. If the light doesn't reset the first time repeat the process a second time. Make sure you are pressing the pedal completely to the floor then allowing it to return to resting position before pressing it down again. Key ON engine OFF. If your factory chimes are functional you will hear them through the front driver side speaker indicating the reset was a success. After the final press of the pedal turn the key OFF and wait 10 seconds before starting the vehicle.

Done this yesterday. Called the GM dealership the they told me how to do this on my 2002 Monte.
without starting your car turn the Key to the second position. Make sure your radio it turned off and your fan. Then on your radio hold in the display button on the left hand side of the radio. it's also the tuning button for radio stations. Hold it in for a few seconds until the display says "Settings". Then you toggle the search buttons to what ever you want to reset. Oil reset is there along with other stuff you can do. The on the present buttons "1 and 2" toggle that to the reset then press the tuning button to finish/done. Your chime should go off telling you that you have reset what ever one you were on. Hope this helps, head is a little foggy this morning. :0)

Do you still have your factory radio or not? I assumed it was gone considering you were doing the gas pedal method...
