Does anyone know what this connector is?
Did the upper and lower intake on my son's 2001 Monte Carlo SS 3.8. I cant for the life of me figure out where this connector goes. It is located near the alternator and doesn't have a lot of room for movement. Its on the part of the harness that the fuel injectors and alternator are on. I have two Bonny's at home with the 3800 but don't see anything similar. AnyIMG_0528 (1).JPG help would be appreciated.

most of us have that same extra connection. rumor has it that it goes to something related to the supercharger. of course you don't have that sooo its just an xtra wire harness plug. if you have everything else hooked up you should be good ta go hope the repair went well 4 ya

Yep, just an extra. GM reused the same harness on a lot of different cars, and some vehicles have an additional emissions related pump that plugs into that. You most likely don't have that pump on your car.

Mine has it to, and I was just as stumped as you. I figured somthing with the super charger for the RCR models, but just did not worry about it. Car ran fine so figured it was not needed. Just like those extra bolts I seem to have after every repaire. LOL

I took the Monte out of storage this weekend and remembered to take a picture of the connector plugged in for you guys.
Here it is in all its glory!

Be glad you don't have the stupid air pump. It just gets in the way
