Open the glove box and there is a screw on the left hand side toward the center. Then open the driver side door, take off the fuse box cover and there is a screw on the right hand side close to the dash.

Also make sure you take out the key faceplate if you have a 2000+ Monte.

also, there are clips holding it in place... after you get all the screws off it, youll have to give it a little pull to snug those off...

Are you referring to the dash face plate or the top of the dash that connects to the firewall?

The firewall is the metal that sperates the engine bay from the interior of the car, roughly the whole back of the dash.

I'm trying to think how the top soft part of the dash is connected and can't remember offhand. I personally haven't taken it off, but I saw the whole dash being removed to replace a heating core but that was like a year ago.

If I remember or find out I will definately post it.

What are you removing it for anyway?
