Catalytic converter warranty?

Catalytic converter warranty?
Well, I've read on these forums that the warranty for the catalytic converter has been extended to 10 yrs/120,000 miles. I'm trying to find a place online that says this but can't find it. Has anyone with 80,001 to 120,000 miles have been able to replace it?
I have a 2001 SS with 108k miles and the acceleration has been horrible. It takes over a minute to get to 50 and then starts losing power. I did a tune up (wires, plugs, filters) and it remained the same. Tomorrow I'm goinng to bring it to get a diagnostics, and I'm hoping it's the cat if this warranty thing is true. Check engine light is not on.
So has anyone gotten it replaced successfully with the new warranty policy?

RE: Catalytic converter warranty?
i would just take your car to gm with your vin # and miles and ask them if its still covered under warranty...i was under the impression milage didn't matter when it came to the warranty on the cat converter...but i'm not sure..

RE: Catalytic converter warranty?
I had mine replaced last year at no charge. It is an "as needed" recall, you should have got a letter in the the mail from GM.The lettersaid that GM would cover faulty converters for 10 years or 120k.I don't remember the exact mileage mine had but it was around 88k.
