Hey so im looking at buying a 07 monte carlo SS.. 126k miles
Here the problem im having..
The car started to obtain a random misfire which is very noticeable.
Where would i start for that
THE MAIN PROBLEM.
I was driving and the service trac light came on and well it shifted hard i mean uncomfortable hard shift. And more so now then before.. the light comes on and while its on it shifts hard light goes off it shifts smooth as butter. Also seem to lose a little power.
It does this mainly going fast. And just my opinion between 30-45 mph.
Causes? Common? Fixes?
I work at the dealership literslly just got a text and the trans was replaced at 91k
Input and reaction carrier??? Was changed.at 80k please need help. Plus st my cost they arent very willing to help me fix the car

Is the dealership you work at a Chevy dealership ?
Have you checked for codes....Will your dealership check it to see what codes it's throwing ?

I was some what confused by your post..?...It does it when you're going fast (35-40 MPH ?)...Please post more details so our expert tech member's can attempt to help you >Good Luck

 

Well only code i have was a misfire p0300 checked on tech 2 cylinder 7 was a pretty heavy misfire slight misfire on cylinder 4. And if i hammer in it it seems to come on at high speeds 65-90 but the main time it does it is between 35-45. The service traction control comes up on the display. And it shifts extremely hard. And when the display goes off shifts fine. One tech said it could be a correlation between the misfire code.
