Hi all. My 1997 MC 3.1 tranny burnt up. Had 157,000 miles and the 99deg. air temps we've had plus the 90 mile a day to work did it in. Any waya 1997 oldsmobile tranny with 62,000 was bought and installed for $800.00. This trans has a hard 2nd gear shift atany throttle pressure. Do you think my old modulator valve should be put in this tranny. Any response is welcome.Regards.Tom H

 

Well, I don't know if they had problems that far back, but have the pre- catalytic converter exhaust pressure checked... we get this question all the time. and it's a good test, especially if you don't have a aftermarket one, they flow and perform much better than stock anyways.
