I wanted to do some work on my wife's MC and have couple of questions.

1. Cooling system - I wanted to overhaul cooling system. Car just hit 100k miles and lower hose is leaking - should I perform complete overhaul at this mileage or just take care of the leaking hose? If just the hose, would you recommend aftermarket parts or should I go OEM?

2. Anti lock light came up - I've read here on the forums that it is due to the speed sensor failing in the hub thus the hub needs to be replaced but I would appreciate if someone could share some more knowledge about this.

Is there a DIY knowledge base on this forum?

If the car is not having cooling issues and has been well maintained, I'd recommend just doing a thorough flushing of the system. Wouldn't hurt to take a peak inside the radiator to see if it has significant build-up of crud.

As for the hose, their all pretty much the same. See what your local auto parts store can supply.

Sorry, not much help on #2.

 

You need to know the code for the abs light, it could be any number of things, bad wheel speed sensor, bad tone ring, faulty wiring, bad computer, the list goes on.
