But the filter is alot smaller than a regular filter, its just got more surface area.

Yeah, I have a K&N filter with a heatshield, you can get them from ebay from chromintakes. Im pretty sure the piping is airaid though.

hey, is the spectra intake? if so, how did you get it to fit, i bought just the filter, and then i went out and bought the same thing you have...but it wont fit. i think i need to buy an smaller filter mayb, i have the four inch cone one on my car...
