I received my National Monte Carlo Owners Association membership packet a few days ago and was all excited about registering for the Nationals. All in the same week I hit a deer with my monte and have a decent amount of damage. A few days later I starting having mechanical trouble. I noticed a drop in power and mileage so I decided to do a power test. The car will not shift out of 2nd in WOT and is throwing a code. Talk about going from a high to a low. My wife just had knee surgery and will not be working for a while (if her job is even still there when she is healed). That leaves only my income, not much left at end of the month to spend on fixing the car. I aint really complaining but dang, I don't know if I will make it to the Nationals now.

Oh well, I know I have it better than most folks so I have to remember that! At least I have a car to work on!

So I tried to reserve a room online at the hotel hosting the event. Nothing is available. So I called the hotel and they said they have nothing available in or out of the block of rooms for the club. They are booked solid.

Anyone else run into this? If so, where else is everyone staying?

I haven't even joined the club yet.... But i'm sure there are plenty of hotels in the area. Could get ahold of the owner of the club and see if he can find another hotel so we can get discounted rates

Seriously?!! They make such a big deal about staying at the host hotel and it's sold out already?!

Rooming with someone will definitely be the way to go. $300 for three nights is pretty expensive lol at least for me it is
