Sickofsoyo's stereo system build log
well, I figured I'd make a thread about the build log of my stereo system. Just finished the sub install, I will post pictures of that later. Here is the equipment I put in so far...
cone of the subs, they are W10GTi MKIIs I think its an aluminum dusct cap on a paper cone.
whole sub... Massive 10 inchers... Weigh close to 40 lbs each. handle 3000 watts peak, 600 RMS
Amp... JBL\Crown BPX1100.1. Puts out 1300 watts from 4 to 1 ohm in parallel OR bridge no problem. Running at a 1.5 ohm load with the 2 GTi's in Bridge mode. Very powerful amp, love it.
Rest of the Stuff... thats 0\1 guage cable. Very thick, distribution blocks, 12 guage speaker cable, 4 guage power cable, 300 AMP fuse, and holder, DMM, Line Output converter.
Pics of the install to come. No, I dont use capacitor's, according to Ohm's law, they technically put more strain on the electrical system. One thing I still need to do it change the power cable from the alt to the battery to 4 guage to get more current flow. And possibly a bigger alternator. I also need a deep cycle battery. With the subs and amp, once my system is done, I should be close to 150 dbs hopefully. I need a new HU to get the full potential of the system.
