Why does my car do this,
When i accelerate it shift at 6000rpm or w.e but than it goes all the way back down to like 2000.. been looking online and when a car shifts to the next gear it only goes to like 4000rpm which makes it alot faster what do i need to do?

Here's how our shifter works:
1&2 are "low gears." In either setting it will go through first and second gear and won't shift past 2. Also, your car will engine break when you take your foot off the gas.
3rd will allow your car to shift through all gears, just won't shift into overdrive - there will be no engine breaking, either. On the freeway, however, you'll notice your cruise RPM will be higher than when in overdrive, (you'll get less MPGs).
If you put it in D it'll go through all 4 gears (4th being overdrive) - it won't hold 3rd long in its rush to get to OD. When you're on the highway and give start to give it a little more gas it'll drop to 3rd to allow you to get going and pass someone, then drop back into 4th.

TRY JUST MANUALLY SHIFTING IT THRU THE GEARS AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS......(PROBLEM SOLVED)
ALSO FOR THOSE OF YOU THAT HAVE BEEN HAVEING A FEW ISSUES WITH TRANSMISSION ISSUES....
Even though, the dealer will never tell you this.....
......anytime your driveing and the speedlimit is 45 or below.....
DO NOT leave it in overdrive....as it causes the torque converter to lock up and unlock at those lower speeds.....
(its like the trans is confused) and constantly shifts up and down un necessarily...all the while its heating up by doing all that work
of upshift downshift in and out of OD etc....also youll notice a gain in fuel mileage.....at speeds under 45 mph....
Leave it in 3 until you reach speed limits greater than 45...then shift to D......for 45 and over.....
It saves a lot of "EXTRA" wear and tear on your trans.....Just a little FYI..
