Default header question

well its actually 2 questions first let me say the car is a 01 ss n/a ok so first im looking for a set of headers that arent to pricy 500 or under if you can even get em that cheap and second if i put a set of headers on with a 3' pipe soed that mean i have to get 3' down pipe cat and muffs?i appreciat any links u guys could send of headers.

You can get the headers at ClubGP for about that much or new ones off Ebay for less. It is also going to depend on the downpipe.... It might just bolt directly into the stock exhaust.

Personally I don't think headers are a great idea on a NA car anyway. I would go with a powerlog instead.

Maybe you may want to look into S&S headers- they're a little bit smaller (and still fairly cheap)- plus they have a 2.5" DP- would probably better for a mild NA application. Are you planning on doing a top swap anytime soon?

I agree about the power log manifold. I have one. Pacesetters will cause me to lose torque, because of their large primaries. I don't recommend headers without boosting it 1st.

can i just do the front power log or do i have to do both so it breaths equally

no- the rear is already tubular steel and isn't really all that bad. The front is a cast piece and is fairly restrictive compared to the rear- so a lot of people just do a front PLOG.
