For some reason when I went to GMPP they list that the Magnaflow exhaust will not fit the 05 for some stupid reason, so I went SLP - $520 all stainless shipped to my house. Borla is on the pricey side. The exhaust really isn't going to give you much performance, just mainly a louder sound. I have a Dynomax system on my 03 and I love the sound of it - it's a little louder than the SLP, but it's not stainless. You can find one of those for around $400. But since it's not stainless you will want to paint it with high heat exhaust paint before you install it.

If you want performance hold off your cat-back, unless you just want sound.

Thanks
wow, i never expected everyone to be so welcoming here...thats awesome. well im from ottawa canada, im 21, and im in the army.(for those of you wanting to know about me) i'll get some pics up later tonight. After doing some research i think ive decided on a borla exaust system because magnaflow dosnt make an exaust for my monte carlo for some reason. i like the stainless steel and from what ive heard borla is an angry aggressive sounding exaust....what do you think....good idea for the money? also does anyone know how much horsepower the borla exaust would pump up my car?

Borla cat-back exhaust system = 0 HP gain.
You don't get any gains from a cat-back on our cars. You get it all from the front to the cat. replacing exhaust manifolds and the downpipe.
All you are buying is a different exhaust tone. and a nicer set of tips
